The WhoWhatNow?
I've never been good at writing "About Me" pages. I mean, essentially the blog is all about me so what is this page supposed to say?
My first name is Sarah and through a convoluted series of events, including the necessity to spell my surname every single time it's used, I've taken on the nickname "Pants." Sarah Pants, Ms. Pants, or Pants. Trust me, it's a lot easier than trying to remember how my Slovak surname is spelled, let alone pronounced.
I'm smack-dab in the middle of my 30s, unmarried and probably not likely to get married. My maternal grandfather used to insist that any woman who wasn't married by the age of 35 had to be a lesbian. I've yet to receive the appropriate lesbian-conversion paperwork but I assume it's in the mail. (They should really look into going electronic with that stuff.) I have cats, like many single, potentially lesbionic women do. I have no human children, nor do I intend to produce any crotchfruit in my lifetime. I have two nephews, courtesy of my older brother (and only sibling), and I love them to death. I enjoy being in the Aunt role. I get to give kids candy and loud toys and send them home. This works best with my inability to live well with others.
The photo in the background of the main page is from a shop being renovated on Blecker Street in Manhattan, circa August 2009. The owners taped up these hearts for their customers. The "risk it" one struck me; well, the whole trip struck me. I fell in love with New York and I've made it my mission to get my happy ass out there by the time I turn 40. Thus, the domain. The photo is an inspirational reminder for me.
Want to know anything else? Let me know, because writing these things is hard!!
