it needs to be renamed: We're Trying to Kill You

Our weeks go from Monday through Sunday.  We were on mandatory 60s this week with "much appreciation" if we can do more.  Note, this appreciation is just in concept only; I'm not getting a condo in New York for it or anything.  This week's total will be just over 70 hours when I leave today.  We're on double-days on weekends now.  I don't anticipate having a day off until April 22, which is 26 consecutive days once I get there.

That's why I haven't been updating.  Blah.

New York money, New York money. Just keep chanting those words in your sleep-deprived state. Then take a look at your new jewels and shoes if you need an additional booster shot. Hang in there, girl!

Dress up for work - it's a mood lifter! That whole "dress for the job you want, not the job you have" jargon... I do it all the time.

Sistah! I too work at a CPA firm, although I only work Feb - April. This year I had other commitments so only signed up to work 30 hr/week. Yeah, right. 60+ each of the last two. I used to do the 60-70 hr thing but I am way too old for that now. My firm treats us fairly well -- free catered dinner every Wednesday night plus a random Monday every couple weeks, free lunch on Saturday, daily online bingo games with a week's free parking in the building as the prize (office is in downtown Mpls), daily online trivia, random atta-boy "spot prizes" of $10 gift cards from Target or Starbucks or such.

Hang in there, sister! I'm hoping you're getting LOTS of money to sock away for your goals!

Work hard, rest well, do little things for you to get you through and we'll be waiting here when you get back.
